When we realised a project is habitual to present to the client the result once the work is finished. Today a methodology prevails more and more that is defined as agile, which basically it allows to be making small deliveries of the work to be evolving the project from the commentaries of the client to each of these small deliveries. One of the more popular agile marks of work is Scrum, used by 70% of the equipment of development of software anywhere in the world.
The agile methodologies arose as answer to the problems indicated in projects of software at the time of applying traditional formulas of management, the predictive denominated ones or in cascade. These logics do not consider a reality: the user-client who orders the work does not know clearly the requirements until she does not see the advanced work. Who has developed Webs, for example, she knows of what we are speaking: the client does not know what wants, but when it sees the work done begins to make modifications for desperation of the designer. Scrum solves this problem.
Structure and basic concepts of Scrum
Scrum is a work frame in which the project is realised by the Equipment Scrum, that are formed by the Product Owner (the user-client), the Equipment of Development (self-sustaining, makes its own decisions) and the Scrum Master, a leader whose work is to verify that the project is developed following the methodology correctly. Its work is to the service of the Equipment Scrum.
How it works? At the home of the project the List of Producto or Product Backlog is elaborated, that is the characteristics or functionalities (ordinates according to its priority) that it must have the product; they can be changing during the development.
When the equipment is put to work, it is organized in time blocks, Timeboxes calls. These spaces can be structured, for example, in cycles of 25 minutes of work and 5 of rest, repeated during a certain number of times throughout the day. On the other hand, the project is divided in small objectives that are reached in stages of work which they follow a similar structure, iterative; it is the Sprint. Every day becomes a new Sprint, previous analysis of the obtained reultado one of the previous Sprint. The Increase is the advance and the value that each Sprint contributes to the project. Each increase is obtained from the previous one.
These are the aspects key of this methodology that allows the development of projects in constinuo contact with the user-client, so that the result obtained finally is satisfactory, eliminating possible substantial modifications once the project has finalized and it appears the client.
The work frame Scrum can be combined with other complementary methods for the organization of the work, as the Kanban methodology and concretely the tool of collaborative work Trello, based on this method.
